# Architect — F-030 E2E suite for critical flows

## Summary
F-030 adds end-to-end tests exercising critical customer flows: catalog browse → add to cart → checkout → order paid. Tests run against a real PostgreSQL instance using the existing test harness pattern.

## Design

### Files
- `project/src/app/tests/e2e`
- `project/src/app/tests/e2e/checkout-flow.itest.ts` — happy path checkout
- `project/src/app/tests/e2e/catalog-browse.itest.ts` — category/product search

### Approach
- Reuse `db-test-support.ts` helpers and `buildApp`.
- Seed minimal catalog data (brand, category, product, variants, prices, inventory).
- Simulate a real customer: browse → cart → checkout → assert order created and payment intent returned.

## Acceptance trace
- AC1: checkout flow test passes end-to-end with seeded data.
- AC2: catalog browse test returns products filtered by category.
- AC3: failure path returns 422 for empty cart on checkout.
